I base my grading system on the A-F system as follows:
A 90-100
B 80-89
C 70-79
D 60-69
F 50 or below
The students grade will be composed of homework, classroom participation, projects/research papers, quizzes and test which will be broken down as followed:
Homework
15%
Participation
10%
Projects/Research Papers
30%
Quizzes
20%
Test
25%
Late work will NOT be accepted unless for reasons such as but not limited to, family related death, illness, accident, etc.
Attendance will also be taken into consideration when a student misses 10 or more days each semester which will result in a deduction of a lettergrade.
Misbehavior will aslo result in a deduction of the overall Participation grade.
In addition the student will recieve a printout of his/her grade every two weeks and will need to have the printout signed by the parent.
